Ravens and Lewis Closing in on Deal

No deal is imminent, but the Ravens and Pro Bowl LB Ray Lewis are closer to agreeing to a new contract that will allow him to play two more seasons, and finish his career in Baltimore if he desires. The Ravens believe that Lewis, about to enter his 13th season, can be a dominant player for two more seasons even though he has showed signs of slowing down.
